Okay, so it's all about to happen.
This is just a quick post to basically just upload a few pics - a proper update later.
First pic is of the counterpack hat we created for the book, it incorporates a fridge magnet (that I designed) as the header.
The other is me - after my work had a party for me (well, partly for me, we were celebrating other things as well [three books in the upcoming Montanas book awards]). I am very lucky to work with some good people, and they are a friendly bunch.
They presented me with a celebratory gift for my first book -- a one-of-a-kind Kiwi Toasties pinny! Hilarious! I never thought I'd own a pinny - but now, my Mum will be very proud!
The webpage also went live yesterday, so www.toasties.co.nz has a portal where you can get to anything Kiwi Toasties related, including this blog.
And, as you can see from the pic, the books have arrived and, as of yesterday, are being sent out to bookshops nationwide.
I'm told that the Herald on Sunday feature on toasties will be running tomorrow, so... it's all about to become real in the reaal world...not just in my little world!
Off now to get some ingredients for Otago cheese rolls -- perfect for a midwinter dinner with friends!
